Faye O’Rourke is an acclaimed songwriter, producer, and film composer, best known for her work with celebrated bands Soda Blonde & Little Green Cars, born in Dublin and based in London. As the former’s primary songwriter, she has been instrumental in crafting their distinctive and evolving pop sound. Beyond her work with the band, Faye has gained recognition as a dynamic composer, celebrated for her evocative contributions to both film and music.
Her compositions have featured in critically acclaimed projects, including An Encounter—Mark O’Halloran’s award-winning adaptation of James Joyce’s Dubliners, directed by Kelly Campbell—and Stable, directed by Aisling Seargant. Looking ahead to 2025, Faye has been commissioned for multiple high-profile projects (including a Focus Ireland short), further cementing her reputation as a leading talent in film scoring.
As a performer, Faye has collaborated with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and had her compositions featured with the National Symphony Orchestra, including Soda Blonde’s orchestral adaptation of their sophomore album. In 2025, she will release her highly anticipated debut solo work and perform at Dublin’s 3Arena alongside music legends Gail Ann Dorsey, Mark Plati, and Sterling Campbell.
